down in the dumps

so what about those times we are down?
the times we are hopeless
when we can't see the light at the end of the tunnel.
im trying to have faith.
but faith hasn't made my stomach stop aching.
hasn't stopped my tears from flowing.
hasn't lightened the darkest nights.
but im holding on.

so in the midst of sadness, choose happiness.
tell your aching its not welcome anymore.
tell your tears that you need to save them for another time.
and chase those dark nights out with the light of hope.
most importantly hold on.
because one day, faith will ease your fight.

Sometimes people let you down, or you have an unfortunate circumstance come along that wasn't in your plan.  Sometimes you feel completely lost, like you'll never find your way back.  And maybe you don't even want to at that moment.   Time heals a lot. I used to hate hearing that when I was upset. Still do. But it doesn't change that it is true.   That leaves a gap between your circumstance and being all better.  Well the gap is there but what you do with it is entirely up to you.   You can choose. You're in charge.  Don't be held captive from your emotions.  Exercise your freedom, and CHOOSE.

In a nice way

You can be honest in a nice way.

Say how you feel in a nice way.

Let someone know they hurt you; in a nice way.

Why do you feel the need to be right? Why do you feel the need to prove a point. Why do you feel the need to be blunt?

People are important. They need to be nurtured and cared for. Listened to and loved. Being right, or prideful should never be at the expense of another. Do you agree? Is being prideful , or proving your point worth making someone feel little even if in fact you are correct? And when you act as such, what does it say about yourself. Surely it reflects on you more than the person you just proved wrong. When you are okay with yourself, there is no need to put another down, to be right, or use sharp tones in any circumstance.

Times I have found the most clarity was amongst chaos.

Sometimes it's when you are so focused on searching for it that you don't find it. Clarity can be a state of mind. A series of thoughts that can produce peace, when and where ever you want.
